Investment Company of the Year Awards 2025
Now in their 27th year, Investment Week’s Investment Company of the Year Awards have a proud history of rewarding excellence in closed-ended fund management. These awards have never been more important as investment companies come under greater scrutiny than ever before, amid a wider discussion on how to re-engage shareholders and promote the benefits of these valuable vehicles.
The awards highlight outstanding managers in this important part of the market, who have delivered consistently strong performance for investors across a variety of sectors and the judges believe can continue to perform well in the future. Our shortlists for the awards are constructed using scores provided by the AIC, using Morningstar data.
Winners are then chosen by our judging panel after heated debate during our judging sessions, where qualitative factors will also be considered. The judging panel for the awards includes some of the UK’s leading researchers and investors in investment companies, with many years’ experience in the industry.
During the awards ceremony, we will be honouring our Investment Company Rising Star of the Year and this year's winner of the Jackie Beard Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Industry.

We are a small charity that makes a huge difference to children in the UK who desperately need a break. Without our supporters, children who care for their ill mums and dads, worry about where their next meal will come from, or fall behind at school and struggle to make friends ould never get a break. Never get a chance to explore the great outdoors, go on adventures, or toast marshmallows by the fireside with new friends.
Go Beyond puts magic into their lives. Over the last 32 years, we have given over 20,000 vulnerable children breaks.
For one week, they pack their troubles away and discover a life that’s full of fun, laughter and imagination.
Formerly known as CHICKS, Go Beyond’s first breaks were held under canvas on a farm near Lydford Gorge in Devon. Whilst the charity was small, the vision was big. Go Beyond saw the opportunity to make a lasting difference to young people by giving them a break from the challenges they faced in their everyday lives.
They watched children grow in confidence through a week of outdoor adventure, friendship and support. The charity’s name may have changed from
CHICKS to Go Beyond but those core values still run through our breaks today. In 1998, we moved from camping to a rented retreat near Milton Abbott in
Devon and then in 2003, we took the leap of purchasing our first centre, ‘Coastal,’ in Cornwall.
Most recently, we opened our Daleside Centre in Derbyshire in 2015, giving us the opportunity to support even more young people across the UK.
